In Kazakhstan will create a state Commission on rehabilitation of repression victims

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has charged to create the state Commission for rehabilitation of victims of political repression, the press service of the head of state.

In 1997 by decree of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on may 31 was declared the Day of memory of victims of political repression.

"This is a sad day duty each of us to pay tribute to all the innocent victims of one of the most violent tragedies of the last century", - said the President.

In his speech Tokayev has reminded that for years of repression in Kazakhstan were deported, more than five million people from all corners of the Soviet Union.
