In the Crimea, not counting on the arrival of foreign tourists this year
Crimea in this holiday season, don't count on tourists from abroad, said the head of the Republican Committee of Parliament on tourism, resorts and sports Alexey Chernyak.
"This year we do not expect the arrival of foreign tourists, given the situation of the pandemic in the world. Crimea in recent years has focused and relied on domestic tourists, while foreign was an important political aspect, because, coming back, they denounced in their countries the truth about life in the Crimea", - told RIA Novosti Chernyak.
According to him, the Crimean resorts, it is now important to establish the flow of tourists from other Russian regions, however, this question depends on the epidemiological situation in the country as a whole.
"There are issues, who to us will go, what regions and how we go," said Chernyak.
Earlier, the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov signed a decree that banned the booking of places to stay in nursing homes, hotels and children's camps of the Republic and accommodation from March 28 to June 1. The decision was made in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
In 2019 in the Crimea rested about 7.5 million people, the lion's share of the flow from abroad came to Ukraine - about 1.1 million people.
