The party of "European solidarity" the ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada considers the draft law on the use of the Ukrainian language in educational establishments divides society, said its Deputy Volodymyr viatrovych.
The bill provides for amendments to the laws on language and on education and transfers from 2020 to 2023, the transition of Russian for 5-11 classes on teaching in the Ukrainian language. The author of the bill is a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada concerning law enforcement and a Deputy of the "servant of the people" in Parliament Maxim Buzhansky. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on issues of human and information policy recommended to reject the revised version of the bill on the use Ukrainian language in educational institutions. At this Deputy head of the faction "servant of the people" Alexander Kornienko asked to contribute to the agenda of Parliament this bill.
