The decisions of the Berlin conference on Libya remain relevant, the ultimate goal of all efforts of the Libyan settlement should be the restoration of the sovereignty of this country, said Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at press conference following talks with his Algerian counterpart Sabri Boukadoum.
"Algeria, and Russia comply with the agreements contained in the outcome documents of the Berlin conference. And as they were endorsed by the UN Security Council. It is clearly spelled out and specific steps and their sequence, and timing. We believe that it is still relevant", - said the Russian Minister.
Algeria is grateful to Russia for supplies of medical equipment to combat the coronavirus, said the foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum.
"The fight against the coronavirus, I wanted first of all to thank the Russian Federation for the assistance they have provided, through Rosoboronexport, and supply of all necessary equipment. This has made a great contribution to the fight against this virus in Algeria," said Boukadoum in the course of negotiations with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
All parties to the conflict in Libya are interested in the mediation of Algeria as the only state which remained neutral in the inter-Libyan conflict, said at a press conference the Minister for foreign Affairs of Algeria Sabri Boukadoum.
"All sides in Libya need the mediation of Algeria. Since we are the only state that did not send arms and mercenaries to Libya. We sent only a message of hope in the name of political solution," said Boukadoum.
