Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold on Thursday a meeting on the ecological situation in the city of Usolye-Siberian the Irkutsk region and will meet with the acting head of the region Igor Kobzev, told journalists the press-Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
"Talking about ecology, talking about the meeting on the situation in the city of Usolye-Siberian. It's in the Irkutsk region. The initiator of the meeting was the acting Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev. This was a fairly troubled town, there were many enterprises of the chemical, they were very harmful emissions, it's all stockpiled, and it all happens in the last decades, it is somewhere in the 40-50 (years - ed.)", - said Peskov.
The total area of forest fires in 2020 in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous area exceeded 40 thousand hectares, which is 10 times higher than a year earlier, according to the Department of subsoil use and natural resources in the region.
According to the Agency, on Wednesday morning, the region has 30 forest fires on the area of 11,3 thousand hectares.
The total area of forest fires in 2020 in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district exceeded 38 thousand hectares, currently operates 30 lesions on an area of over 10 thousand hectares, said on Monday on the website of the regional government.
"There are 30 forest fires on the territory of Berezovsky, Konda, Maximalism, October, Samarskogo, Soviet and Urai forestry with an area of 10.2 thousand hectares, of them are localized seven... since the beginning of the fire season in our region was 326 forest fires with a total area of 38.7 thousand hectares", - reported the regional authorities.
The total area of forest fires in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district exceeded 20 thousand hectares, said on Friday the regional Department of subsoil use and natural resources.
The Department clarifies that a day in Ugra was six natural fires on the area of 2.4 thousand hectares, and in total, there were 25 forest fires with a total area of 14 thousand hectares.
