Russian certification of MS-21 aircraft delayed for mid-2021, with first deliveries planned in the end of 2021, Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov.
Earlier, the Russian certification was planned for 2020.
The stand tests of fuel measurement system for the MS-21 on domestic element base will be completed by the autumn of this year, told reporters the first Deputy General Director - chief designer of JSC Techpribor (part of JSC "CONCERN") Yuri Novikov.
"By the fall of 2020 the stand tests of fuel measurement system for the MS-21 on domestic element base will be completed. I want to note that we are not just implemented test-bed, we created the technology. There is iron, there are harness, measuring equipment, but there are also techniques is the most valuable," said Novikov.
The latest Russian medium-haul MS-21 airliner checked in-flight with one engine shut off, said in an interview with RIA Novosti, the test pilot of the Corporation "Irkut" (part of UAC Rostec) Oleg Mutovin.
"With further development of aircraft systems, failure is detected less and less. Starting from some stage, we according to the test program, especially themselves introduce faults to assess the functioning of backup systems and reconfiguration of the Board in responding to the consequences of failure. For example, recently my colleague once again for more than two hours flew on MS-21 with one disabled engine for the evaluation of the systems of the aircraft in such a situation," said Mutovin.
