Ukrainian miners ended the protest from-for debts under the salary

Ukrainian miners ended the protest over wage arrears, reported Saturday the head of the Independent trade Union of miners of Ukraine Mikhail Volynets.

Ukrainian miners on 30 June began an indefinite protest at the office of the President with the requirement to pay them debt on a salary. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal said that the government repaid the debt to the miners. Later Volynets said that miners also need to provide safe working conditions, stable work of Ukrainian enterprises and are against the import of Russian electricity and coal.

At the office Zelensky miners hold protest action

The miners on Tuesday in front of the office of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev demanding repayment of wage arrears, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

In particular, the miners are demanding repayment to employees of state-owned mines of the debt on salary payment, which as of July 1, will reach more than 1.2 billion hryvnia (about $ 45 million). They also require to oblige the state property Fund of Ukraine, PJSC "Centrenergo", SE "Deregulated" SE "Kalush TPP-Nova" fully pay off the debt with state mining companies for the coal.
