Tests were conducted by the manufacturer of the reactor of the plant "Atommash" (Volgodonsk, Rostov region). "For the responsible of the final stage in the manufacture of the reactor vessel uses a special underground stand – caisson. He put the support ring, on which a crane with a lifting capacity of 600 tons was installed in the design position of the reactor vessel and shut down process lid. Hydraulic tests conducted in accordance with special technology, in which the reactor vessel was created maximum pressure (24,5 megapascals) above the operating pressure by 1.4 times," - said in the message.
