Operator "Nord stream – 2", 2 Nord Stream AG, has filed an appeal against the decision of the Court of General jurisdiction of the EU in respect of the claim of the company against the Gas Directive of the European Union, told reporters in Nord Stream AG, 2.
"Nord Stream AG 2 does not share the court's reasoning regarding procedural matters and continues to believe that amendments to the Gas Directive is unlawful discrimination. In this regard, on 28 July 2020 Nord Stream 2 has filed an appeal against the decision of the Court of General jurisdiction of the EU to the European court (the Court of Justice of the EU) (the EU Court in Luxembourg - ed.)", - stated in the release.
German experts assessed the resolution of Denmark to finish the construction of the pipeline "Nord stream — 2" in the territorial waters of the Kingdom with the help of new vessels.
Previously Danish energy Agency (DEA) has allowed to build the pipeline using the ships with the anchor positioning. They can be used both separately and in conjunction with vessels equipped with dynamic positioning system.
Hennig Kota, who served as Director of the project "Northern stream — 2", left the company Nord Stream AG 2, his place was taken by Marco Casorati, told RIA Novosti press-service of the company.
"Hennig Kota decided to leave the company 2 the Nord Stream AG for personal reasons in early June 2020. As the Director of the project he was replaced by Marco Casorati, who worked as over the "Nord stream — 2" and the "Northern stream" - the company said.
Operator "Nord stream — 2", 2 Nord Stream AG, filed an appeal in the court of Dusseldorf for a decision of the Federal network Agency of Germany (BNA), denied exemption of the project from the requirements of the updated EU gas Directive, told reporters in the company.
"15 Jun, Nord Stream 2 filed an appeal against the decision of the Federal network Agency of Germany the Supreme regional court of Dusseldorf. 2 Nord Stream AG insists that the actual date may 23, 2019 the pipeline was completed from the point of view of economic functionality. On the basis of the current at the time of the legal framework, the company performed a return on investment of several billion Euro before the European Commission announced its plan to change the Gas Directive", - have informed in a press-service.
The operator of the project "2 Nord stream", Nord Stream AG 2, gave the Danish authorities the request for inclusion to the already obtained construction permit amendments involving the use of vessels with anchor positioning, told RIA Novosti press-service of the company.
"The company 2 the Nord Stream AG submitted a request for an amendment to the building permit as precautionary measures in accordance with the recommendations of the Danish energy Agency (DEA)", - said in the statement.
